In our beginning reading classes we use the best Chinese reading materials to help students go from reading 0 to 300 Chinese characters in no time! All review materials are provided at no extra cost to you too.
3 Levels to take you from 0-300 characters in just 30 weeks!
We use the popular Odonata graded reader series to help students work up to reading 300+ characters. To learn more about the Odonata graded readers, click here.
Reading Level 1
In this 10-week course, we learn 100 characters through games, activities and yes, lots of reading practice! You also get free review materials to ensure you succeed.
Reading Level 2
In this 10-week course, we go from 100-200 characters. Yes, we still play plenty of games and have fun! Be sure to check out our free review materials after you sign up!
Reading Level 3
In this 10-week course, we go from 200-300 characters. You're almost there! After this course, you'll be an intermediate reader!
More About the Class:
Class Curriculum and Goals
Our goal is for each student to go from reading 0-300 characters by the end of the course! We achieve this by providing tons of fun activites in class along with review materials for students to use outside of class. We use the popular Odonata graded readers to help students gradually build vocabulary. We offer this course in both simplified and traditional characters. You can choose which option you'd like at checkout.
Expectations
Students are expected to utilize the review materials we provide and review every day for 10-15 minutes. Just a few minutes every day will double your retention and save parents money! (Learning faster=less classes needed=saved $$)
Prerequisites
All students should have a good foundation in the spoken language before signing up for this class. Students who have taken at least 1 year of Mandarin lessons are usually a good fit for this class.
