About Us
Our goal at Stride Mandarin is to create the highest quality, most affordable Mandarin tutoring program for kids.
Hi, I'm Katie Li; mom of 2 and non-native Mandarin speaker working to raise my children bilingual. I founded Stride Mandarin in hopes of creating more affordable tutoring solutions for families on a budget. Since founding the company in 2020, I've worked with amazing Mandarin teachers from all over the world to create programs that are more than just sit-and-repeat classes; our classes provide an immersive, interactive environment right in your living room and include free resources for your kid to continue learning outside of class. To make sure our classes are top-notch, we have a strict hiring criteria. Only 2% of all applicants make the cut! We make sure all of our teachers fit the following criteria:

Native Mandarin Speaker

At least two years experience working with kids

Certified Mandarin teacher with a degree in either teaching Mandarin Chinese or linguistics

Fun personality and able to adjust to students' needs

Passionate about language education
